Terms & Conditions
Oryzen Massage and Recovery
Last updated: 10 August 2026
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all bookings and services provided by Oryzen Massage and Recovery(“we”, “us”, “our”).
By making a booking with Oryzen Massage and Recovery, you agree to these Terms.
These Terms are intended to be clear, fair and consistent with applicable UK consumer protection law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any legal rights you have as a consumer that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
1. Important information about refunds and cancellations
Please read this section before booking.
Cancellation more than 24 hours before your appointment
If you cancel your appointment more than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time, you will receive a 100% refund of any payment made for that appointment.
Cancellation less than 24 hours before your appointment
If you cancel less than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment time, a cancellation charge of 50% of the booked treatment price will apply.
If you have already paid the full amount, the remaining 50% will be refunded.
If you have not yet paid, we may request payment of the applicable 50% cancellation charge.
No-show
A 50% cancellation charge will apply where you fail to attend or are unavailable for your appointment, including where:
-
nobody answers the door;
-
nobody is available to receive the therapist;
-
access to the property cannot be provided;
-
the therapist is unable to gain reasonable access to the agreed treatment location;
-
you cannot be contacted at the appointment time; or
-
you are otherwise unavailable to receive the treatment.
The charge applies because appointment time, travel and capacity have been reserved specifically for you.
Serious inappropriate or sexual behaviour
Oryzen Massage and Recovery provides professional massage therapy only.
We have a zero-tolerance policy towards sexual behaviour, sexual requests, harassment, intimidation, threatening behaviour, inappropriate touching, or other conduct that makes the therapist feel unsafe or uncomfortable.
If a client:
-
requests sexual activity or a sexual service;
-
makes sexual comments or propositions;
-
exposes themselves inappropriately;
-
touches the therapist in a sexual or inappropriate manner;
-
behaves aggressively, threateningly or abusively;
-
repeatedly ignores professional boundaries;
-
refuses reasonable instructions necessary for safe treatment; or
-
otherwise behaves in a way that makes the therapist reasonably feel unsafe or seriously uncomfortable,
the therapist may immediately stop or refuse the treatment and leave the property.
Where a booking is terminated because of serious inappropriate, abusive or sexual behaviour by the client, no refund will ordinarily be provided and any amount properly due under these Terms may remain payable, subject always to the client's statutory rights under applicable law.
We reserve the right to refuse future bookings where we reasonably consider that a client's previous conduct creates a safety or professional-boundary concern.

We travel to the customer's agreed location and provide the booked treatment at that location.
We do not operate a customer-facing massage premises unless expressly stated otherwise.
3. Booking a treatment

When making a booking, you must provide accurate and complete information.
This may include:
-
your name;
-
telephone number;
-
email address;
-
treatment address;
-
requested treatment;
-
appointment date and time; and
-
relevant health or treatment information.
A booking is confirmed when we have accepted the booking and provided confirmation.
We reserve the right to decline a booking where we have a legitimate reason to do so, including where:
-
the requested location is outside our service area;
-
the requested appointment is unavailable;
-
the treatment may be unsuitable;
-
there are legitimate safety concerns;
-
the client has previously seriously breached these Terms; or
-
we reasonably believe the booking is fraudulent or otherwise inappropriate.
4. Treatment prices
Our standard treatment prices are:
30 minutes £45
60 minutes £65
90 minutes £100
Other treatments, promotions or special offers may have different prices.
The price applicable to your booking will be shown before you confirm the booking.
Any promotional discount must be used in accordance with the conditions of that promotion.
We reserve the right to change our prices for future bookings. A price change will not affect an appointment that has already been confirmed unless otherwise agreed with you.
5. Payment
Payment must be made using the payment method made available by Oryzen Massage and Recovery.
Where payment is required in advance, your appointment may not be confirmed until payment has been successfully received.
Where payment is made at or after the appointment, payment must be made immediately following the treatment unless otherwise agreed.
We reserve the right to refuse future bookings where an amount remains unpaid.
6. Appointment times
Appointment times are reserved specifically for each client.
Clients must be ready for their treatment at the scheduled appointment time.
The therapist may arrive shortly before the appointment to allow reasonable time to enter the property and set up equipment.
The treatment itself will begin at the agreed appointment time where reasonably possible.
7. Delays caused by the client
Clients are responsible for being ready at the agreed appointment time.
Examples of delays include:
-
showering;
-
bathing;
-
changing clothes;
-
preparing the treatment room;
-
finishing a meal;
-
completing another activity;
-
answering the door late;
-
needing additional time to prepare; or
-
any other delay caused by the client.
If the therapist arrives at the agreed location and the client needs to shower, change, prepare themselves or otherwise delays the start of the appointment, that delay will normally be taken from the client's booked treatment time.
For example, if a 60-minute massage is booked and the client spends 10 minutes showering or preparing after the therapist arrives, the remaining treatment time may be limited to approximately 50 minutes.
The full booked price will still apply.
This does not apply where the delay is caused by Oryzen Massage and Recovery.
8. Therapist travel and unavoidable delays
As a mobile service, travel conditions can occasionally affect arrival times.
Reasonable delays may occur because of:
-
traffic;
-
road closures;
-
public transport disruption;
-
severe weather;
-
accidents;
-
parking difficulties;
-
unforeseen emergencies; or
-
other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant delays.
If we are unable to provide your appointment because of a significant delay or other circumstance within our control, we will offer an appropriate alternative appointment or refund, as applicable.
9. Treatment location
You must provide a safe, suitable and reasonably accessible location for treatment.
The treatment area should:
-
provide sufficient space for the massage table;
-
have a reasonably safe and stable floor;
-
have suitable lighting;
-
be reasonably clean;
-
allow the therapist to move safely around the massage table; and
-
be free from hazards that could reasonably cause injury.
The therapist may refuse or stop treatment if the environment is reasonably considered unsafe.
Examples may include:
-
aggressive animals;
-
dangerous or hazardous conditions;
-
unsafe access;
-
excessive obstruction;
-
threatening behaviour from other people present;
-
illegal activity taking place at the property; or
-
any other condition creating a reasonable safety concern.
Where treatment cannot safely proceed because of the client's environment or conduct, the cancellation provisions in these Terms may apply.
10. Privacy and professional boundaries
All treatments provided by Oryzen Massage and Recovery are professional massage therapy treatments.
Treatments are not sexual or erotic services.
Clients must maintain appropriate professional boundaries throughout the appointment.
The therapist may end a treatment immediately if a client engages in:

sexual comments;
-
sexual requests;
-
sexual gestures;
-
inappropriate exposure;
-
inappropriate touching;
-
requests for sexual contact;
-
harassment;
-
intimidation;
-
threats;
-
discriminatory or abusive behaviour; or
-
any other conduct that reasonably makes the therapist feel unsafe or seriously uncomfortable.
The therapist is not required to continue a treatment where professional boundaries have been breached.
11. Draping and appropriate clothing
Professional draping will be used where appropriate during treatment.
Clients must follow reasonable instructions from the therapist regarding positioning, clothing and draping.
Clients must not expose areas of the body that are not appropriate for the treatment being provided.
Genital areas and breasts will not be massaged.
Any treatment involving areas close to sensitive or private areas will be handled professionally and with appropriate boundaries.
The therapist may refuse to treat an area if they consider treatment inappropriate or unsafe.
12. Health information and suitability for treatment
Before treatment, clients must provide accurate information about any relevant health conditions, injuries, medications, allergies or other circumstances that could affect treatment.
You must inform the therapist of any relevant changes to your health before treatment begins.
Failure to provide relevant information may affect whether treatment can safely be provided.
Oryzen Massage and Recovery may refuse or modify treatment where:
-
treatment may be contraindicated;
-
additional medical advice is reasonably required;
-
the therapist believes treatment could pose an unreasonable risk;
-
the client's condition has materially changed; or
-
the therapist does not have sufficient information to safely proceed.
Where appropriate, we may recommend that you consult a GP or other qualified healthcare professional.
13. Massage therapy is not medical treatment
Massage therapy is not a substitute for diagnosis, medical treatment or advice from a suitably qualified healthcare professional.
Oryzen Massage and Recovery does not diagnose medical conditions.
You should seek appropriate medical advice where you have concerns about symptoms, injuries or medical conditions.
You remain responsible for providing accurate information about your health and for following appropriate medical advice.
14. Consent to treatment
Before treatment begins, the therapist will discuss the treatment with you where reasonably necessary.
You have the right to:
-
ask questions;
-
communicate discomfort;
-
request that treatment is modified;
-
ask the therapist to stop; or
-
withdraw your consent to treatment.
The therapist also has the right to stop or refuse treatment where they reasonably consider it unsafe, inappropriate or outside the professional scope of the service.
15. Allergies and products
We may use massage oils, creams or other products during treatment.
You must tell us before treatment if you have any known allergies, sensitivities or reactions to relevant products.
If you experience an unexpected reaction during treatment, tell the therapist immediately.
We will take reasonable steps to respond appropriately.
16. Pregnancy and other special circumstances
Clients should inform Oryzen Massage and Recovery before booking or before treatment where there are circumstances that may affect the suitability of massage.
This may include pregnancy, recent surgery, significant injury or other relevant health circumstances.
Where appropriate, we may request confirmation from a healthcare professional before providing treatment.

If you need to cancel an appointment, you should contact Oryzen Massage and Recovery as soon as possible.
More than 24 hours' notice
Cancellation made more than 24 hours before the appointment will normally qualify for a full refund.
Less than 24 hours' notice
Cancellation made less than 24 hours before the appointment will normally incur a charge of 50% of the booked treatment price.
Where the treatment has been prepaid, the remaining 50% will normally be refunded.
Where the treatment has not been prepaid, the client remains responsible for the applicable 50% cancellation charge.
No-show
Failure to attend or receive the appointment will normally result in a 50% charge.
This includes circumstances where the therapist arrives at the agreed address but:
-
nobody answers the door;
-
the client cannot be contacted;
-
access cannot be provided;
-
the client is not present; or
-
the appointment cannot reasonably take place because of the client's failure to be available.
18. Statutory cancellation rights
Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove or restrict any statutory consumer cancellation rights that apply to your booking.
Where UK consumer law gives you a right to cancel that applies to your particular contract, that statutory right will take precedence over these contractual cancellation provisions.
Where a statutory right to cancel does not apply, the cancellation policy in these Terms will apply.
Where required by law, we will provide the relevant pre-contract information and cancellation information to customers.
19. Refunds
Where a refund is due under these Terms, we will normally process it using the original payment method.
Refund processing times may depend on the payment provider or bank.
A refund does not affect any amount that you are lawfully required to pay under these Terms, such as an applicable cancellation charge.
Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights where the service has not been provided with reasonable care and skill or where another legal remedy applies.
20. Cancellation by Oryzen Massage and Recovery
We may cancel or refuse to provide a treatment where reasonably necessary, including because of:
-
illness or emergency;
-
therapist unavailability;
-
unsafe travel conditions;
-
unsafe treatment conditions;
-
serious client misconduct;
-
suspected fraudulent activity;
-
a relevant contraindication;
-
circumstances outside our reasonable control; or
-
another legitimate reason preventing safe or lawful provision of the service.
Where we cancel an appointment for reasons that are not the client's fault, we will normally offer an alternative appointment or provide an appropriate refund.
Where cancellation is caused by serious misconduct or breach of these Terms by the client, the relevant cancellation provisions may apply.
21. Alcohol and drugs
Clients must not be intoxicated by alcohol or drugs at the time of treatment.
The therapist may refuse or stop treatment where they reasonably believe that a client is intoxicated or impaired and that continuing treatment could be unsafe or inappropriate.
Where treatment is refused because the client is intoxicated or impaired, the relevant cancellation provisions may apply.
22. Other people at the appointment
The client must inform Oryzen Massage and Recovery in advance if another person will be present during the treatment.
The therapist may request that additional people leave the treatment area where their presence interferes with the treatment or creates a safety or professional-boundary concern.
Children must not be left unsupervised during a treatment.
23. Pets and animals
Clients must ensure that pets and other animals are kept safely away from the treatment area where reasonably necessary.
The therapist may refuse or stop treatment if an animal presents a safety or hygiene concern.

Clients must use equipment appropriately and follow reasonable instructions from the therapist.
A client may be responsible for reasonable repair or replacement costs where they intentionally or negligently cause damage to Oryzen Massage and Recovery equipment.
26. Our responsibility and liability
Oryzen Massage and Recovery will provide services with reasonable care and skill as required by applicable consumer law.

-
fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
-
breach of statutory consumer rights; or
-

The latest version will be published on our website.
33. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect personal information, including treatment and health information.
